Therapy sessions are confidential except where life-threatening self-harm, harm towards another (including crimes linked to money laundering, terrorism, murder, rape) is threatened, or child protection issues are raised.  In these circumstances confidentiality will be broken if necessary and advice will be sought from the relevant agencies. I will discuss this with you first if such situations does arise.

Additionally, all my therapeutic work with clients is subject to regular clinical supervision in accordance with the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute’s Code of Ethics and the UKCP’s Code of Ethics.  In these circumstances, if I am discussing information from our therapy sessions with my clinical supervisor, I will ensure that your anonymity is maintained.
